Frequently Asked Questions

My Laser Doesn't Align with the camera view on my Rapsodo

The most common reason for discrepancies between the laser and the camera on the Rapsodo MLM2Pro is the unstable connection between the tripod and the main unit of the MLM2PRO. Some users have reported that they need to be careful when attaching the device to ensure it’s in a stable, repeatable position. It’s easy to accidentally over-tighten the connection, which can cause the MLM2pro to rotate slightly off center of the tripod.

We use a custom-made laser with higher precision than the commercially available barrel lasers - ensuring better accuracy. At a distance of 16 feet, the maximum acceptable variance should be no more than 1.5 inches, or less than 0.5 degrees.

If you're experiencing greater variance or continue to have issues, please reach out to us using the contact form for further assistance.

The threads for the tripod feet block the laser

We tested various tripod foot lengths and found that when the feet are fully screwed into the shortest position, they can slightly block the laser’s path.

However, even in this short setup, the laser line will still shine on the ball on the hitting mat and the screen, allowing you to see the horizontal line and complete a full setup.

This length offers the greatest flexibility, making the stand adaptable to a variety of situations.

My Laser line is crooked

The laser leveling stand is designed to be leveled first, and then the cross laser is rotated in its housing to visually align with the target. While we pre-align the lasers, it's possible that the barrel of the laser may have rotated during transport or setup. If this happens, simply rotate the laser to realign it visually.

If you're having difficulty viewing the laser well enough for this adjustment, especially when using a net outdoors, you can first level the stand indoors and use a visual reference point, such as baseboards or a doorframe, to help realign it.
